
HOW TO USE
Registration
To access DiHubMT’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources, clients must complete the registration process:
1. Submit Registration Request
- Visit the DiHubMT HPC portal (www.hpcmt.gov.mt) and submit a registration request via the online platform in the contact section
2. Provide Information
- Enter contact and organizational details
3. Receive Onboarding Procedure Form
- DiHubMT will send the official form, including guidance and legal declarations
4. Submit Form & Documentation
- Complete and return the form with all required supporting documents
5. Due Diligence & Verification
- DiHubMT reviews submissions to ensure authenticity and compliance
6. Approval
- Once approved, clients proceed to the onboarding stage
Onboarding
Approved clients complete onboarding to gain access to HPC resources:
1. Confirmation Email
- Receive onboarding confirmation via email
2. Required Documentation
- Project title, abstract, and scope
- Technical requirements: CPU/GPU, memory, bandwidth, storage
- Project timeline and resource estimates
- Compliance acknowledgments: intellectual property, data, export control, ethics
3. Terms & Agreement
- Electronically sign the Terms & Agreement, confirming acceptance of all obligations
Verification
Clients must submit verification documents to confirm identity, affiliation, and project eligibility:
- Government-issued ID or business registration certificate
- Institutional endorsement or funding approval (if applicable)
- Technical validation by HPC administrators
- DiHubMT may request additional documentation or clarification at any stage
Review and Approval
Applications are evaluated by DiHubMT’s administrative and technical teams:
- Eligibility Check: Compliance with Terms & Agreement and criteria
- Feasibility & Resource Justification: Alignment of technical needs with available resources
- Mission Alignment: Compatibility with DiHubMT objectives and MDIA standards
- Legal & Ethical Compliance: Ensuring adherence to laws and ethical standards
Decision Outcomes:
- Approval
- Conditional approval
- Request for revision
- Rejection
Priority may be given to projects of national or strategic significance.
Access and Support
Once approved, clients receive access to HPC resources:
1. Credentials & Access Guidelines
- Personal HPC credentials and secure login instructions
2. Onboarding Materials
- Resource guides, environment setup, and data management best practices
3. Ongoing Support
- Continuous technical support throughout the project lifecycle
Rights and Reservations
DiHubMT retains ownership and operational control over its HPC infrastructure:
- Authority to allocate, restrict, or revoke access at its discretion
- Right to modify policies without prior notice
- Use of anonymized data to improve services
- Suspension or termination of services for non-compliance or misuse
Client Acknowledgment:
- Access is a privilege, not an entitlement
- Clients agree to indemnify DiHubMT, its officers, employees, and affiliates against liabilities arising from usage
